Level-up! Games Job Opportunities: Marketing Department

A few days ago, I posted my favorite blog entry for 2007. It was basically about the need for new blood and talent in the online gaming industry. I ended that post with a challenge to all of my readers who have an online gaming itch. If you want to become more than just a player and start a career based on your passion for games, then this is the best time to do it. We have a lot of opening here at Level-up! and I’d like to invite everyone to apply. I’ll be posting this on a per-department basis. For today I’ll be posting our openings for MARKETING.

Job descriptions and requirements for openings in our Marketing Department after the jump!

1.) BRAND MANAGERS
The position is primarily responsible for overall management of the brand Game X, including setting of long-term brand direction as well as strategic planning and leadership, execution of programs geared toward acquisition, usage and retention of users. As Brand Manager,, he/ she will be the champion his/her brand, takes full responsibility of setting the direction for the brand’s position in the market.

KEY RESULTS AREAS
- Develop highly strategic marketing plans with goal of creating more value for his brand
- High innovative, aspires to set the industry standards in creativity of marketing communications rather than follow it.
- Timely and schedule oriented; ensure all marketing plans are executed on time and as per specifications.
- Overall steward of Brand’s P&L, takes full responsibility for maintaining efficiencies in the operations of his/her brand.
- Interfaces with services groups and game developers, aggressively pushing for cooperation in line with executing the brand’s program while maintaining a healthy and harmonious working relationship with them
- Closely monitors all integrated marketing communication materials and ensures the protection of the brands equities.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferably and Online Gamer (Played any of the titles published by Level-up!)
- Must be a graduate of Management, Marketing, or any related business courses
- At least 1-3 yrs experience as a Brand or Product Manager (or assistant) for FMCG, Retail, Telecommunications, or IT
- Can craft marketing plans, familiar with reading and interpreting P&L statements
- Willing to travel and engage in field work
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Highly organized and results and strong people oriented
- Creative and strategic thinker
- Team player
- Computer savvy, must be proficient in MS office
- Not more than 30 years old

2.) COMMUNITY MANAGER
Community Managers function as the main line connecting the gaming community with the game and brand. They liaise, communicate, enforce, administer and coordinate with the different venue available with the game to ensure that all acquisition and retention efforts are on track with the goals set by the brand manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a passion for gaming
- Preferably a Marketing/Management college graduate of a 4-year course
- Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply
- With excellent written and oral communication skills both in English and Filipino
- Knowledgeable in desktop applications especially in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
- With the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Organized and has a high regard for detail
- Proactive and highly analytical
